Whats for Dinner Tonight

Today I am making vegetablepie for my hungry bunch. Its really the easiest thing to make. Just take about 150grams of soft butter and mix it with flour and bakingpowder. Keep adding flour until it crumbles. Boil your favorite veggies I like broccoli, carrots and corn. Let them cool of a bit. In the meantime you make a basic white sauce and ad your favo spices. Grate som cheese. Ad all your veggies in a form, pour over the white sauce and the garted cheese, put the crumblepie dough ontop and into the oven. Done!

The 10 housewife comandments

1. Have dinner ready: Plan ahead, even the night before, to have a delicious meal on time.

This is a way of letting him know that you have been thinking about him, and are concerned about his needs. Most men are hungry when they come home and the prospects of a good meal are part of the warm welcome needed.

2. Prepare yourself: Take 15 minutes to rest so you will be refreshed when he arrives. Touch up your make-up, put a ribbon in your hair and be fresh looking.
He has just been with a lot of work- weary people. Be a little gay and a little more interesting. His boring day may need a lift.

3. Clear away the clutter. Make one last trip through the main part of the house just before your husband arrives, gathering up school books, toys, paper, etc. Then run a dust cloth over the tables.

Your husband will feel he has reached a haven of rest and order, and it will give you a lift, too.

4. Prepare the children: Take a few minutes to wash the children's hands and faces if they are small, comb their hair, and if necessary, change their clothes.

They are little treasures and he would like to see them playing the part.

5. Minimize the noise: At the time of his arrival, eliminate all noise of washer, dryer, dishwasher or vacuum. Try to encourage the children to be quiet.

Be happy to see him. Greet him with a warm smile and be glad to see him.

6. Things to avoid: Don't greet him with problems or complaints. Don't complain if he's late for dinner.

Count this as minor compared with what he might have gone through that day.

7. Make him comfortable: Have him lean back in a comfortable chair or suggest he lie down in the bedroom. Have a cool or warm drink ready for him. Arrange his pillow and offer to take off his shoes.

Speak in a low, soft, soothing and pleasant voice. Allow him to relax and unwind.

8. Listen to him: You may have a dozen things to tell him, but the moment of his arrival is not the time. Let him talk first.

9. Make the evening his: Never complain if he does not take you out to dinner or to other places of entertainment; instead, try to understand his world of strain and pressure, his need to be home and relax.

10. The goal: Try to make your home a place of peace and order where your husband can relax.

Gentlemen perferes Housewifes

That is the truth... If a man gets to choose from having a tired overworked enoyed wife and mother at the end of the day with a messy house and takeout dinner or a clean house with a fresh baked bread with his homemade meal with his proud happy housewife to go with it. What would you like? Face it... only very confused men wouldnt want that!?

Playdate

So I just got all things ready to go to a playdate with some other moms. Only one of them is a stay at home mom like me. You se in here in Sweden  you have 480 days of payed maternityleave (80% of your wage). For the first year the child is not allowed a place in daycare but after that most parends choose to start working again. The good thing here is that you have up til the child is 8 years old to use all your maternity days. So you can prolong your staying at home if youd like. Another good thing is that the goverment we have now gives you an extra $380 a month/ child between 1-3 years if you choose to stay at home. That makes it possible for moms like me to ba able to stay at home for longer. I can save my maternityleave days til after the child is 3 so I can stay home longer. Since it is election year I hope that we keep our curren goverment cuz they wanna increase the monthly "stay at home" pay to $765 a month/child. That would mean the world to mother that belive that she is the best caretaker for her own children.

Well I am off and I am leaving you with some pictures I took lying under our appletree yestoday. Swedish summer is the best!

Boys will be boys

Good morning! As usual I am up early with my darling boy and I just  wanted to tell you what my son to be 3 year old son did yestoday. We were both out in the backyard and he took his little bike to a hill and got up and got it rolling - fast! Luckily I was there to catch him before he fell off. Then as I turned my back on him he got up again and down he went fast as lightening and all I could see in the corner of my eye is how he rolled straight into my rhubarbs with a "whooooooooooooh!" And there he was, crached on the ground with the bike on top of him and he looked at me in triumph and said " fun mom!" He was just lucky not to hit his head on something! Cheeky boy!

Now I have to wake the older children who needs to be of for school soon.

Se you later or as we say in swedish
